You will receive our welcome packet in the mail a few days after your first appointment is made. This kit will include several forms that need to be completed and brought with you to your first appointment. If for some reason you do not receive the welcome kit packet or have not completed the forms, please arrive 15 minutes prior to your appointment to allow time to complete the necessary forms.
Your first appointment will last about an hour. During this time a dental technician will review your medical and dental history, as well as go over any concerns or desires you may have. We will also take a full mouth series of digital X-rays that you will be able to see immediately on the computer screens available in every operatory. If needed, a panoramic X-ray will also be taken at this time. Once all the necessary documentation has been compiled, Dr. Perim will thoroughly review the collected data and complete a comprehensive examination. This comprehensive exam includes a detailed look at:
- The joins, bite and chewing ability (functional)
- The gum and bones (periodontal)
- The structure of the teeth (biomechanical)
- The characteristics of the smile (Dentofacial)
From this information, Dr. Perim will be able to create a personalized treatment plan based on your specific needs and desires. Follow up appointments will then be scheduled to begin treatment.
